Robin, Flesh

This prototype is a mock-up version of the Chris O'Donnell as Robin 12" figure. Two different types of unpainted, flesh-tone rubber make up the body and head. One type is more orangish and is softer than the hard, tan rubber. This version has nipples on the chestpiece which are not on the produced version! No markings are noted and the rubber has even been hand trimmed along some edges. There are also areas that are shaved down perhaps to make him look less muscular. The head is smaller than the head on the more advanced Robin prototype below. Most of the outer shell pieces can be easily removed. Overlying the core body is a black suit to which the black cape is attached. The core body itself is a plain figure that can be easily revealed!
$250

Robin, Blue

This prototype is a more advanced version of the Chris O'Donnell as Robin 12" figure. Unpainted, blue rubber makes up the body while flesh-tone rubber makes up the head. The outer shell pieces can not be easily removed and the torso and groin piece are glued together. The nipples are absent from this version. The head is larger and firmer that the head on the Robin prototype above. The figure is marked on the back: 1997, DC Comics, Kenner, Made in China. Overlying the core body is a black suit to which the white cape is attached. Most of the stitching on the cape is machine done but a hand-sewn adjustment appears to have been done underneath.
